One Fine Day

Over the 29th and 30th of April, Tonic Agency took part in One Fine Day - one of Melbourne’s trendiest wedding expos at the Timber Yard in Port Melbourne. Once a year, One Fine Day expo hosts a curated selection of the most sought after wedding vendors in both Melbourne and Sydney.

One Fine Day is a perfect outlet for upcoming or newly engaged couples to come and find inspiration whilst planning for their big day - showcasing various vendors needed to host the perfect wedding all in one location. These include photographers, florists, caterers, styling, venues and furniture. Some notable suppliers include Dann Event Hire, Grew and Co and Natalie Marie Jewellery.

The expo also hosts 3 runway shows each day showcasing on trend bridal designers sourced and styled by Hello May, where VIP ticket holders guaranteed a seat in the front row. Tonic Agency was lucky enough to provide hair and makeup for all runway models throughout the weekend - a perfect partnership for both Tonic Agency & OFD.

Tonic’s signature fresh and subtle bridal look was a perfect match for the runway. A few feature designers include Khya, Mia Atelier, Grace Loves Lace and M.J Bale with Jewellery from Amelia George.

The hair and makeup looks for the runway show were directed by Tonic’s owner/founder Monica Gingold who created a classic, glowy editorial makeup look and a modern twist bun both embellished with pearls to compliment the pearl details in many of the runway dresses. Monica’s incredible team of Tonic artists commenced hair and makeup each day at 7:00am and worked intensely until the first runway show at 10:30am.

For makeup, the brief included full fluffy brows and a gorgeous siren eye winged liner. Each model had a slightly different pearl design to enhance their best features, and all wore Tonic lipsticks in Latte and Bloom - both very natural colours that suit every skin tone. Using ELEVEN Australia hair products, hair was pulled in a sleek middle part with a Bella Hadid inspired twist bun adorned with pearls.

Credit to the amazing Tonic team, by the time the final runway ended at 3:30pm, makeup was still looking fresh and flawless and hair barely needed any touching up.
